Zama launches Testnet v2, allowing users to build and deploy applications.
According to Foresight News, Rand, the founder of the FHE cryptography company Zama, tweeted that Zama has launched Testnet v2. This version of the testnet serves as a candidate for the upcoming mainnet, equipped with all the functionalities expected of the mainnet, allowing users to build and deploy applications on this testnet. The team is currently conducting stress testing on Testnet v2, and after multiple rounds of testing and feedback, they will deploy the Zama mainnet test version. Additionally, the mainnet will initially run on Ethereum, with other chains set to be integrated gradually in 2026. Previously reported by Foresight News, according to the roadmap released in Zama's light paper, the Zama testnet has launched, with the mainnet and TGE planned for the fourth quarter of 2025, and it is expected to expand to other EVM chains in the first half of 2026, with deployment on Solana in the second half of 2026.
