.@KaiaChain a giant potential in Asia?
As I mentioned to you recently, Kaia chose me for research on her blockchain and to communicate the results of it.
First of all, they created mini daaps that are directly accessible from Line (220M users) and KakaoTalk (150M) for example.
The largest apps have generated up to 19M in GMV (, which is a value paid in $KAIA) representing 2.5M€, it's interesting because it allows to provide directly to its distribution network the web3.
Even though it still needs to be further developed and used, it's a good start.
Stablecoins
The project focuses mainly on Stablecoins, thanks to their social networks, they already have the necessary platforms for their distribution and adoption.
That's why recently Tether expanded there, bringing the stablecoin Marketcap back to its peak since the last cycle.
And we hear some rumors of stablecoins from countries like Korea that would be tokenized on Kaia.
But what speaks to me more is that they have managed to develop a system that allows you to scan your passport and withdraw your USDT anywhere in the world.
Apparently, they would be in discussions with JPYC (japan) and IDRX (indonesia) to continue developing this all over Asia.
And there, for once, having struggled and paid monstrous amounts while traveling just to exchange money, I find it really very cool.
Statistics
The market cap of stablecoins matters little, what is important to follow is whether they are being used, and it is evident that the number of transfers is on a constant rise, probably thanks to social networks + the demand to pay by phone in these countries.
And the same goes for the number of holders.
Stablecoins remain THE most important narrative; it's a ready-made utility, and in this case, Kaia has a huge advantage with its 370M combined users across their web2 platforms.
As for the use of blockchain, it is calmer after having exploded in April, but we still drop to 600k transactions per day, which is very respectable.
Conclusion
I must admit that I am quite impressed by blockchain; we tend to forget about the entire Asian market, while many blockchains are already being adopted there, which explains some major successes like Tron.
Kaia has what it takes to become the leading payment blockchain in Asia; unlike its competitors, it already has an existing distribution network thanks to Kakao and Line.
And if they manage to tokenize the stablecoins of all the states in Asia, it could become the foundational layer for a lot of transit between countries and among residents.
The problem is that so far Kaia has focused on Asia, hence this partnership, which allows me to present the project in depth, which despite its #83 position on CMC, is never discussed in the CT FR.
