Wujiangzhai, located in Shangji Town, Bozhou District, Zunyi City, Guizhou Province, is an ancient village in northern Guizhou that is nestled against the mountains and by the water. It is about 50 kilometers from the site of the Zunyi Conference and is known as a "real-life paradise on earth." Wujiangzhai has a long history, belonging to the ancient Shu Kingdom during the Shang and Zhou Dynasties, under the Southwestern Yi. In the mid-Ming Dynasty, it was changed from local governance to direct administration under Zunyi Prefecture, and during the Qing Yongzheng period, it was incorporated into Guizhou. Originally named "Stealing Cattle Ferry" or "Tongliu Ferry," Wujiangzhai embodies the essence of northern Guizhou culture, which emphasizes the unity of heaven and humanity and the coexistence of all things. In 2016, Wujiangzhai was listed in the fourth batch of traditional Chinese villages for protection, and in 2022, it transformed into an international tourism resort integrating sightseeing, leisure, vacation, health care, and exhibitions, becoming a "new landmark for tourism in Guizhou."

The cultural connotation of Wujiazai is profound, reflecting the inclusiveness and symbiotic concept of Bashu culture. Its "symbiotic thought" integrates nature, humanity, and history, inheriting the folk customs of northern Guizhou, revitalizing the ancient Tea Horse Road and the riverside fish market, and awakening tourists' memories of nostalgia. Red culture is also its underlying tone, being close to the site of the Zunyi Conference, carrying the revolutionary spirit and symbolizing reform and innovation. Zunyi Wujiang Village

Wujiang Village, located in Shangji Town, Bozhou District, Zunyi City, Guizhou Province, is a picturesque ancient village nestled along the Wujiang River, about 50 kilometers from the Zunyi Conference site, often described as a “real-life paradise.” With a history dating back to the Shang and Zhou Dynasties as part of the ancient Shu Kingdom, it came under Zunyi Prefecture during the Ming Dynasty’s Wanli period and was incorporated into Guizhou in the Qing Dynasty’s Yongzheng era. Originally called “Touniu Crossing” or “Tongliu Crossing,” Wujiang Village embodies the essence of northern Guizhou’s culture, emphasizing harmony between humanity and nature. In 2016, it was listed as a protected traditional Chinese village, and by 2022, it transformed into an international tourism resort integrating sightseeing, leisure, vacation, wellness, and conventions, earning the title of a “new Guizhou tourism landmark.”
Built along the Wujiang River, Wujiang Village features cobblestone paths, black-tiled wooden houses, and stilted buildings, forming a vivid tableau of northern Guizhou architecture. Restorations adhere to a "repair as old" philosophy, preserving its rustic charm while integrating the cultures of eight ethnic groups, including Miao, Gelao, Buyi, and Tujia. Visitors can engage in non-material cultural heritage experiences like traditional papermaking, dyeing, pottery, and lantern-making, or enjoy performances such as Nuo opera, single-bamboo drifting, and bamboo pole dances. The "Eight Directions Banquet" offers ethnic cuisines and stories.
