KlimaDAO JAPAN announced on April 23 that it will provide services utilizing blockchain technology in collaboration with T.N. Plan, PBADAO, and JE FOREST at the 2025 Osaka-Kansai Expo venue.
This service tokenizes carbon credits (certified reductions or absorption of greenhouse gas emissions that can be traded as a value) and provides a mechanism to offset (counterbalance) greenhouse gases emitted at events and other occasions.
This initiative is part of the carbon neutrality concept promoted by the Osaka-Kansai Expo.
This offset service utilizes the smart contract "Carbonmark API" to issue carbon credits as ERC-20 standard Tokens on a public blockchain.
By utilizing blockchain, it enhances the transparency of the origin of credits and transaction history, making it easier to use transactions and offsets.
! This tokenization mechanism is based on Web3-related technologies owned by KlimaDAO JAPAN and PBADAO. In Japan, a demonstration project to tokenize J-Credit in collaboration with companies and local governments has already been underway, and it has received the "Japan Financial Innovation Award 2025".

In addition, the joint venture partners will also provide power supply through a green fuel power generation system to meet the carbon-neutral electricity demand at the venue.
The first recipient has been decided as the International Boulanger Competition "5th Best of Mondial du Pain" held at the Expo venue.
The event, which competes for the title of the world's best baker, is expected to consume a large amount of electricity, so we aim for carbon-neutral operations by utilizing this service.
