Abstract generation in progress

Ripple (XRP) continues to expand their range in the promising stablecoin field, as the American tech giant’s native RLUSD stablecoin just hit Aave’s Horizon RWA platform. This comes just a month after Ripple applied for banking licenses in the United States (USA) to deploy RLUSD on an institutional level.

Upcoming $16T RWA Market Welcomes RLUSD On Horizon

Focusing on tokenized physical assets scalable across different decentralized applications (dApps), Horizon platform lets investors use tokenized RWA items as collateral to flow more efficiently across markets. With this move, RLUSD dives into what’s estimated to be at least a $16 trillion market by 2030, four times the size of the current crypto market capitalization.

Now, Ripple’s (XRP) fresh RLUSD stablecoin is going to be the centerpiece of this Real World Asset (RWA) driven platform. Besides, the Ethereum-based Aave’s Horizon supports a selection of other popular stablecoins, including Circle USD (USDC) & Aave Protocol’s native GHO stablecoin.

Ripple’s fresh-off-the-boat stablecoin scalability to Aave’s new RWA platform was also praised by Reece Merrick, Ripple Labs’ Senior Executive Officer & Managing Director, Middle East & Africa. On Friday, the newly-found partnership has already slightly boosted XRP Ledger’s stablecoin market cap, which is 51% dominated by RLUSD.

People Also Ask:

What’s Ripple’s RLUSD doing on Aave’s Horizon? RLUSD, Ripple’s USD stablecoin, launched on Aave’s Horizon platform (Ethereum, August 27, 2025) as collateral for borrowing/lending tokenized assets like Treasuries, targeting a $16T market.

Why’s it matter? It bridges DeFi and TradFi, letting institutions and retail use RWAs in DeFi. With $76M supplied in a day and $24M minted in Japan, RLUSD’s growth is wild, unlocking a $16T tokenized asset boom.

How does Horizon use this stablecoin? Horizon (Aave V3) lets users borrow RLUSD, USDC, or GHO against tokenized RWAs. Chainlink oracles price assets for secure loans, keeping it compliant yet open.

What’s the $16T hype? Tokenized RWAs (bonds, real estate, stocks) could hit $16T by 2030. RLUSD on Horizon fuels this by enabling DeFi liquidity for institutional and retail players.

Any launch drama? No issues, but X is buzzing with memes about RLUSD’s “moon potential” and institutions finally joining the DeFi party.
