Semler Scientific (SMLR) continues to grow its Bitcoin investments by purchasing an additional 871 BTC. The company's total Bitcoin holdings have reached 3,192 BTC.
The company made a Bitcoin purchase worth $88.5 million with the income from the senior convertible bond issuance conducted in January 2025. This purchase was made at an average cost of $101,616 per Bitcoin. Thus, Semler's total Bitcoin investment reached $280.4 million, with an average cost per Bitcoin of $87,854.
The company continues to use the "Bitcoin Yield" metric, which aims to make Bitcoin investments more meaningful for its shareholders. According to the statement by Semler Scientific, the company's Bitcoin yield has increased to 152.2 percent based on this metric. This ratio represents the change in the company's Bitcoin assets in relation to the diluted share count.
Compared to the previous purchase, there has been significant growth in Semler's Bitcoin strategy. The company, which had 1,273 BTC in November 2024, has more than doubled its Bitcoin assets in the last three months by accelerating its purchases. Semler Scientific's shares have continued to appreciate since it started investing in Bitcoin in the summer.
Semler Scientific, also increased its total Bitcoin holdings to 2.321 BTC by purchasing 237 BTC between December 16, 2024 and January 10, 2025. The purchases at that time were made with funds from internal stock sales and operational cash flow.
