Dating app SUGO and social game TopTop parent company Zicheng Technology (09911) have released their latest performance results. Last year, Middle East and North Africa business revenue accounted for 60% of total revenue. Senior Vice President Song Pengliang said that the Middle East business is concentrated in Saudi Arabia and the UAE, and the Iran conflict has not affected the company’s operations.

Song Pengliang joked that, compared with other markets, the Middle East region is not as “close-knit,” and local people have more leisure time in their daily lives, so demand for emotional value products is naturally higher.

Zicheng previously acquired the dating platform MICO. When asked about the company’s future acquisition direction, Song Pengliang said there will be opportunities for M&A involving social or innovative businesses in the Japan and Europe markets, and the company is inclined to carry out such deals using its own cash.

In recent years, Zicheng has been actively expanding into overseas short dramas. In 2025, it acquired Playlet for $6 million. Zicheng’s Senior Vice President Song Pengliang said that, compared with the mainland market, the overseas short-drama market started later, but it is still in a blue-ocean stage with significant growth potential. Therefore, the company chose to enter the track at this time.
