A U.S. military E-3 AWACS aircraft was damaged in an attack at a Saudi base.

On the 29th, a reporter from the General Station learned from Iranian sources that a Saudi Prince in Sudan’s airbase was recently attacked by Iranian missiles and drones, resulting in damage to a U.S. E-3 AWACS aircraft. According to U.S. sources, the number of this type of AWACS aircraft in the U.S. military has decreased from 30 to 16, with the replacement cost for a single unit exceeding $700 million. It is reported that this type of AWACS is part of the Airborne Warning and Control System, capable of monitoring drones, missiles, and various flying targets over long distances, and providing real-time battlefield situational information to the command system.
