Canadian Solar Eyes Up to 7 GW U.S. Module Shipments, 5.5 GWh Storage After Biz Reset
Canadian Solar has targeted 6.5–7.0 GW of solar module shipments and 4.5–5.5 GWh of battery energy storage solutions to the U.S. by 2026, following a strategic realignment of its U.S. operations. This includes establishing CS PowerTech Inc. for domestic manufacturing and expanding its U.S. production facilities for modules and HJT solar cells. The company anticipates a “transition year” in 2026 due to supply constraints and high costs but expects its cell production ramp-up to alleviate these issues.
