The reporter from the Central Radio and Television Station learned that on the 26th local time, an Israeli official stated that Ali Reza Tangestani, commander of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps Navy, was killed in an attack at the port of Abbas. This official indicated that Tangestani was responsible for the blockade of the Strait of Hormuz.

Currently, there has been no response from the Israeli military or Iranian authorities regarding this matter.

On the same day, the government of Iran’s Hormozgan province stated that the U.S. and Israel launched an attack on a residential area in the port of Abbas, resulting in multiple explosions.

The port of Abbas is an important military port in southern Iran, adjacent to the Strait of Hormuz, which connects the Persian Gulf and the Arabian Sea. (Central Radio and Television Station reporters Li Jiannan and Jiang Haoyu)
