Iran: American and Israeli Universities Will Become "Legitimate Targets for Attack"

On March 29 at midnight local time, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps of Iran announced that Israeli and American universities would become “legitimate targets for attack.”

In the announcement, the Revolutionary Guard threatened that since the U.S. and Israel bombed Iran University of Science and Technology, universities in the West Asia region belonging to Israel and the U.S. would also become legitimate targets for attack.

In the early hours of the 28th, Iran University of Science and Technology in Tehran, the capital of Iran, was attacked.

The U.S. Central Command posted on social media on the 28th denying that U.S. personnel had been attacked in Dubai, UAE.

The U.S. Central Command stated on social media that Iran claimed to have attacked a “hideout” of the U.S. in Dubai, causing casualties, but the fact is that “no U.S. personnel were attacked in Dubai.”

According to Iranian media reports on the 28th, a spokesperson for the Central Headquarters of the Iranian Armed Forces, Khatam al-Anbia, said that strikes were carried out on two bases where over 500 U.S. troops were gathered. The spokesperson said that in the past few hours, two U.S. hideouts had been located. The first hideout was in Dubai, housing over 400 personnel; the second hideout had over 100 personnel. Both locations were targeted and struck by the Iranian Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps using precision-guided missiles and drones, resulting in “extremely severe” casualties.

On the evening of the 28th, the Israel Defense Forces stated that the Israeli Air Force had recently completed another round of large-scale airstrikes in Tehran, the capital of Iran. The IDF claimed this was the third round of airstrikes conducted that day, targeting dozens of Iranian infrastructures.

The Houthi armed group in Yemen issued a statement on the 28th claiming to have launched a new round of missile and drone attacks on multiple targets in southern Israel.

The statement said that this operation used cruise missiles and drones to strike “important military targets” in southern Israel and claimed that the operation had “successfully achieved its objectives.” The statement also indicated that the related actions were “synchronized” with actions from Iran and Hezbollah in Lebanon.

The statement emphasized that the Houthi armed group would continue military operations in the coming days until the opposing side ceased related military actions.
