Wang Yi separately met with IAEA Director General Grossi and India's former Ambassador to China, Luo Guodong.
Members of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and Foreign Minister Wang Yi met separately with International Atomic Energy Agency Director General Grossi and the outgoing Indian Ambassador to China, Vikram Misri, on the 26th in Beijing. During the meeting with Grossi, Wang Yi stated that the conflict in the Middle East is spreading and its impact is accelerating, especially if nuclear facilities are targeted, which will lead to immeasurable severe consequences. Only an immediate ceasefire and the resumption of dialogue and negotiations can truly eliminate the root causes of the conflict. China is willing to strengthen cooperation with the International Atomic Energy Agency to safeguard the international nuclear non-proliferation system and make efforts to maintain peace. Grossi expressed that the International Atomic Energy Agency is willing to deepen communication and cooperation with China in addressing relevant hotspot issues and promoting the peaceful use of nuclear energy, jointly safeguarding the international nuclear non-proliferation system, and maintaining world peace and stability. During the meeting with Vikram Misri, Wang Yi indicated that under the strategic guidance of the leaders of both countries, China-India relations have embarked on the right track of improvement and development. In the face of a complex international situation, China is willing to work with India to implement the important consensus reached by the leaders of both countries, expand mutually beneficial cooperation in various fields, uphold the common interests of the Global South, and strengthen multilateral cooperation in mechanisms such as BRICS. Vikram Misri expressed gratitude for the strong support provided by China during his tenure, stating that India is willing to enhance coordination and cooperation with China, strengthen high-level exchanges, deepen mutually beneficial cooperation, promote multilateral collaboration, and jointly maintain world peace, stability, and development.
