Ministry of Finance: In February, the national lottery sales totaled 34.313 billion yuan, a year-on-year decrease of 18%.
On March 27, the Ministry of Finance announced that in February, a total of 34.313 billion yuan worth of lottery tickets were sold nationwide, a decrease of 7.541 billion yuan year-on-year, down 18%. This was mainly due to the impact of the Spring Festival holiday in February this year, which affected the lottery market’s operation. Among them, sales by welfare lottery institutions amounted to 12.144 billion yuan, a year-on-year decrease of 2.688 billion yuan, down 18.1%; sales by sports lottery institutions amounted to 22.170 billion yuan, a year-on-year decrease of 4.853 billion yuan, down 17.9%.
