Qingdao Daily / Guan Hai News, March 24 - Recently, the Zhonglu Marine Innovation Industrial Park project, undertaken by China State Construction Engineering Corporation’s Eighth Bureau Fourth Company, has been completed, creating a national-level marine industrial park that integrates research and development, processing, warehousing, and circulation.

It is reported that the Zhonglu Marine Innovation Industrial Park project is located in Jiaozhou City, Qingdao, and includes the construction of cold storage, guardhouses, and other facilities. This project is a key supporting engineering project for the marine economic industrial chain being promoted in Qingdao. The project focuses on the regional marine industry development needs, systematically laying out cold chain storage and related industrial supporting facilities. By strengthening key foundational capabilities, it effectively connects the links of aquatic product processing and cold chain circulation, promoting the transformation of the marine food industry from a dispersed layout to an intensive and large-scale development, providing solid support for the local marine food industry cluster upgrade.

After the project goes into operation, the total storage capacity of the cold storage will reach 30,000 tons, equipped with freezing chambers for various products and a complete refrigeration and support system, capable of meeting the storage needs of multiple categories of deep-sea products. It aims to create a modern cold chain storage base with high standard temperature control, high load capacity, and high stability in operation, laying a solid foundation for the high-quality development of the regional marine industry.

During the construction process, the project closely adhered to the requirements for green and low-carbon development, incorporating green construction concepts throughout the entire engineering construction process. It systematically applied multiple new materials and technologies for green construction. During construction, high molecular waterproofing membrane materials with strong weather resistance, excellent tensile properties, easy construction, and free from harmful substances like asphalt and coal tar were used. Pollutant emissions were reduced by over 80% compared to traditional processes, and the materials themselves are recyclable, with a recovery rate reaching 95%. This effectively reduces future maintenance costs while enhancing the durability of the project.

The project has reduced energy consumption by 32% through real-time energy consumption monitoring and resource recycling mechanisms, while the water resource reuse rate has increased to 70%. It has also implemented measures for soil and water conservation and dust control, continuously strengthening construction pollution prevention and creating a green, low-carbon, and sustainable modern industrial park.
