Sana’a news: The spokesperson for the Houthi forces in Yemen, Yahya Saree, stated on the evening of the 28th that the organization launched a second round of attacks using cruise missiles and drones on significant targets in southern Israel. He noted that the Houthi military operations “will continue in the coming days” until the United States and Israel “stop their aggression.” That evening, the Houthi forces also issued a statement through their controlled media, claiming that their direct military intervention was in response to the “barbaric aggression” from the United States and Israel faced by Iran, the Gaza Strip, as well as Iraq and Lebanon, and emphasized that they “will not target any country that is not involved in this aggression.” An Israel Defense Forces spokesperson, Efi Defrin, stated during a press conference on the evening of the 28th that the Israeli military is prepared for the Houthi involvement and warned that any attack on Israel would “come at a cost.” He mentioned that earlier that day, missiles were launched from Yemen towards Israel and were intercepted by air defense systems, indicating that the Houthi forces have joined the current war. Earlier on the 28th, the Houthi forces confirmed that they had “first used powerful ballistic missiles” to strike sensitive military targets in Israel, in support of Iran and the regional “resistance front.” (Xinhua)
