Trump, pour la première fois en 10 ans, sera absent

According to a report by American media on the 25th, U.S. President Trump will be absent for the first time in 10 years from the annual Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC).

The Hill reported on the 25th that this year’s conference will be held from the 25th to the 28th in Grapevine, Texas. A White House official disclosed to the media that Trump will not attend this year’s conference. U.S. Vice President Pence is also currently not on the list of speakers for the event.

The report stated that this year’s CPAC comes amid divisions within the Republican Party over U.S. military actions against Iran. Additionally, the Republican Party is struggling to prepare to maintain control of both houses of Congress in this year’s midterm elections.

The Conservative Political Action Conference is one of the most important annual meetings for conservative activists, officials, and media in the United States. Trump has attended this conference since 2016.
