On March 17, IT Home reported that Tesla CEO Elon Musk stated on the X platform today that the new Roadster electric supercar may be released in late April.

IT Home noted that last November, Musk mentioned at Tesla’s annual shareholder meeting that the new Tesla Roadster would debut on April 1 of this year, with production beginning 12 to 18 months after its release.

Tesla stopped producing its original Roadster in 2012 and released the Roadster 2 in 2017, which was originally scheduled for production in 2020, but its launch date has been delayed each year.

The new Tesla Roadster is equipped with a drive motor torque of 10,000 N·m on the wheels, features an all-wheel-drive system, has a 0 to 100 km/h acceleration time of 2.1 seconds, a 0 to 160 km/h acceleration time of 4.2 seconds, and a top speed of 400 km/h. Additionally, the new car will come with a 200 kWh battery, offering a range of 1,000 km.
