This report is by journalist He Wenjing and correspondent Shi Huifang. In order to boost consumer confidence and strengthen the protection of consumer rights through financial innovation, Huaxia Bank’s Kunming Branch has recently focused on the main line of “promoting consumption and ensuring livelihoods,” deeply cultivating digital financial scenarios, and empowering consumer spending through technology.

In terms of boosting consumption, Huaxia Bank’s Kunming Branch has launched practical financial products and used digital means to solve pain points in people’s livelihoods. To support housing security efforts in Kunming, the bank has innovatively created a “housing ecosystem” financial service system, deeply connecting with the Kunming Municipal Bureau of Housing and Urban-Rural Development’s Anju Network, enabling a one-stop, zero-fee process for online account opening, rent payment, and more. This has completely resolved the traditional rental housing issues of “complex procedures and difficult payments,” serving over 10,000 citizens and being selected as one of the top ten financial cases for serving the public in Yunnan Province, becoming a strong support for the “housing dream” of new citizens and young people.

In the area of consumer credit, Huaxia Bank’s Kunming Branch is vigorously promoting its flagship product “Long e Loan,” in partnership with the Kunming Municipal Housing Fund Center to achieve real-time data interaction, significantly improving approval efficiency. Additionally, it has implemented a consumer loan interest subsidy policy, providing interest rate discount coupons to high-quality clients, effectively reducing financing costs for the public. Furthermore, the bank has launched the “Yun Ju Hui” themed debit card based on the regional characteristics of Kunming, integrating six categories of consumer rights and introducing a digital application feature for the national subsidy program “trade-in.” It has deepened cooperation with the Yunnan branch of China UnionPay, using a “payment+” model to connect high-frequency scenarios such as dining and supermarkets, promoting the precise distribution of consumption vouchers through “government subsidies + bank concessions + merchant discounts.”

Huaxia Bank’s Dali Branch has entered rural areas, setting up consultation desks to answer questions about credit reporting and personal information protection, and breaking down scam tactics using case studies; the Guandu Branch has visited Meituan sites to educate delivery personnel about preventing card fraud and anti-fraud knowledge; the Honghe Branch has collaborated with local police stations to educate rural vendors and ethnic minority communities about anti-counterfeiting and anti-fraud techniques.
