The Sichuan-East Gas Transmission Second Line Natural Gas Pipeline Project Sichuan-Chongqing-Hubei Section Accelerates Construction

On March 24, in Dazhiping Town, Badong County, the second natural gas pipeline project for the eastward transmission of Sichuan gas is intensively laying pipes in the Sichuan-Chongqing-Hubei section.

This project is a major energy infrastructure project of the national “14th Five-Year Plan” and serves as a strategic transmission corridor for the trillion-cubic-meter gas field and the billion-cubic-meter gas storage facility in the Sichuan-Chongqing region. The project has a total length of 4,269 kilometers, starting in Neijiang City, Sichuan Province, and ending in Shanghai, passing through eight provinces and cities, including Sichuan, Chongqing, and Hubei, with a designed annual gas transmission capacity of 20 billion cubic meters.
