Iran’s Fars News Agency on the 23rd quoted sources as saying that the so-called negotiations between Iranian Parliament Speaker Ali Larijani and the United States are completely false. One purpose of fabricating this false news is to create conditions for the assassination of Larijani. The source said that another goal of spreading false news about negotiations is to slander Larijani, cause division within Iran, and incite public sentiment. The source also stated that Iranian officials unanimously believe that the fight will continue until Iran achieves its goals and the invaders repent. U.S. President Donald Trump earlier on the 23rd said that the U.S. had reached an agreement in principle with an Iranian “leader,” who is not the Supreme Leader. According to Israeli media reports on the 23rd, the U.S. is in dialogue with Larijani. On February 28th, the U.S. and Israel launched a large-scale military operation against Iran, during which Iran’s then-Supreme Leader Khamenei and several senior military and political officials, including Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council Ali Larijani, were killed in airstrikes. Israel stated that it will continue to assassinate Iranian officials. (Xinhua)
