Microsoft Files Amicus Brief Supporting Anthropic's Lawsuit Against the U.S. Department of Defense
Microsoft filed an amicus brief with the court on Tuesday, supporting a lawsuit filed by AI company Anthropic to temporarily prevent the U.S. Department of Defense from designating it as a supply chain risk company. Anthropic had already sued the Department of Defense on Monday, opposing the Pentagon’s inclusion of it on the national security blacklist. Microsoft stated that this designation has directly impacted its business, and without a temporary restraining order, vendors relying on Anthropic’s technology may be forced to rapidly adjust their product systems.
