A legendary wallet that had been dormant for 14 years woke up half an hour ago.

The wallet transferred 2,100 bitcoins from the Mt.Gox exchange in July 2012 and then entered a long period of hibernation. Today, it initiated a test transfer of just $55 to a new address, marking the end of its 14-year silence.

14 years ago, this asset—accounting for one ten-thousandth of the total bitcoin supply—was worth only $13,839; now, its market value has soared to $148 million, an increase of over 10,700 times.
