Odaily Planet Daily reports that the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) has officially announced the signing of its first Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Major League Baseball (MLB). The agreement establishes a mechanism for information exchange and collaboration between the two parties in the field of prediction markets related to professional baseball. The purpose of the agreement is to strengthen the integrity of professional baseball events and to cooperate on potential risks within prediction markets, including fraud prevention, market manipulation, and other misconduct. Under the MOU, both parties will share information within a legal framework to respond more quickly to related incidents and to identify emerging trends in advance. CFTC Chairman Michael S. Selig stated that this move will help enhance the integrity and resilience of prediction markets and provide regulators with more tools to protect market participants.
