On March 16, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology held a cadre meeting. The meeting emphasized the need to implement this year’s key tasks with a diligent spirit, ensuring detailed execution to promote a good start for the “14th Five-Year Plan.”

  1. Fully consolidate the steady and improving industrial economy. Deepen the implementation of the new round of ten key industry stabilization plans, supporting major industrial provinces. Launch major projects for the “14th Five-Year Plan.” Make good use of policies such as ultra-long-term special government bonds and special re-lending for technological transformation to encourage and guide healthy private investment.

  2. Accelerate the enhancement of industrial technological innovation capabilities. Urgently implement major national science and technology projects and key R&D plans. Carry out the national high-tech zone new track cultivation initiative, establish and effectively manage the National Manufacturing Innovation Center, and strengthen a batch of high-level manufacturing pilot platforms. Accelerate the construction of national new industrialization demonstration zones and implement world-class advanced manufacturing cluster cultivation projects.

  3. Improve the independence and controllability of the industrial chain. Coordinate efforts to address weaknesses, strengthen strengths, and build a solid foundation. Implement a new round of high-quality development actions for key manufacturing industry chains, reinforce industrial base reconstruction, and tackle major technological equipment challenges. Optimize the national defense science and technology industrial system and layout. Continue to facilitate industrial transfer and development matching activities.

  4. Promote the optimization and upgrading of the industrial system. Implement actions to revitalize traditional industries, deploy major technological transformation and upgrading projects, and carry out pilot work for new technological transformation in cities. Strengthen standards guidance, quality improvement, and brand building. Cultivate and expand emerging and future industries, such as integrated circuits, aerospace, and biomedicine, and establish mechanisms for future industry investment growth and risk sharing. Vigorously develop intelligent manufacturing, green manufacturing, and service-oriented manufacturing. (Ministry of Industry and Information Technology Micro News)
