Guangdong: Promote the Construction of a Batch of Service-Type Humanoid Robot Application Test Zones and Training Grounds

The General Office of the People’s Government of Guangdong Province issued the “Action Plan for Accelerating the Cultivation and Development of New Tracks to Lead the Modern Industrial System Construction (2026–2035).” The plan proposes that in the field of intelligent humanoid robots, efforts should be accelerated to promote breakthroughs in key technologies such as multimodal perception and environmental modeling, dexterous hand design, and motion control algorithms—covering the “brain,” “cerebellum,” and “limbs”—and to strengthen the supply of core components. It also calls for organizing the “Robot+” initiative to deeply explore open application scenarios. The plan encourages the construction of a number of service-oriented humanoid robot application testing zones and training grounds, and the joint development of open-source communities, open-source ecological centers, and public service platforms.
