Everyday Economic News AI Briefing, March 20 — The Shanghai Futures Exchange issued a notice regarding the adjustment of nickel options trading. With the approval of the China Securities Regulatory Commission, nickel options have been designated as a specific product within the country. As a result, our exchange will fully introduce participation from overseas special participants, foreign intermediary institutions, and foreign clients in nickel options trading. After research, the following adjustments have been made to nickel options trading matters: options and underlying futures are to be limited separately. Non-futures company members, overseas special non-broker participants, and clients holding options contracts for a specific month are restricted such that the total long positions of call options and short positions of put options, as well as the total long positions of put options and short positions of call options, must not exceed the limits shown in the table below. Accounts with actual control relationships are managed as a single account.
