According to Tianyancha risk information, recently, BabyBus (Fujian) Network Technology Co., Ltd. was fined 300,000 yuan by the Cangshan District Market Supervision Administration in Fuzhou City for publishing vulgar advertisements, and 3.68 yuan of illegal income was confiscated.

The regulatory authorities pointed out that the content of the advertisement severely violated social morals and had a negative impact on the audience of the “BabyBus Nursery Rhymes” app (mainly young children).

In October 2025, some netizens reported that after entering the BabyBus app, vulgar ads would pop up, and clicking on the ads would lead to borderline videos.

After the incident was exposed, BabyBus Co., Ltd. issued an apology and rectification statement, stating that the relevant ads were accessed through third-party platforms, which have all been taken offline, and rectification measures have been initiated.

Public information shows that BabyBus, a provider of digital educational content for children, targets children aged 0-8 and their parents. Its educational brand “BabyBus” has numerous users worldwide.

People’s Daily Online commented that even if the problematic ads involved third-party platforms, BabyBus cannot shirk responsibility. It must bear responsibility, such as ensuring the ad review mechanism does not fail and intercepting problematic ads. The Advertising Law clearly states, “Advertisements should be truthful and legal, and express advertising content in a healthy manner.”

According to the Advertising Law, “When publishing or sending advertisements via the internet, it should not affect users’ normal use of the network. Ads published on web pages in the form of pop-ups, etc., should clearly indicate a close button, ensuring one-click closure.” Whether the ads interfere with normal network use or cannot be closed with one click, both reveal potential illegal behavior by the platform and advertisers. Therefore, BabyBus cannot simply “shift the blame” to third parties, and repeatedly blaming third-party platforms is unconvincing.

Many netizens also expressed their support for strict punishment regarding this penalty: “Yes! It must be severely punished!”
