ByteDance sells gaming company Moonton Technology to Saudi capital Savvy Games Group

Caixin March 20 — An internal memo obtained from ByteDance sources indicates that Zhang Yunfan, CEO of Mu Tong Technology, a gaming company under ByteDance, announced internally that the company has recently signed an agreement with Savvy Games Group, a subsidiary of Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund (PIF). The two parties will complete the transaction within a certain period, and after the deal is finalized, Mu Tong will become a wholly owned subsidiary of Savvy.

Meanwhile, Mu Tong’s management structure remains unchanged, with its headquarters still located in Shanghai. Zhang Yunfan will continue to serve as CEO. He stated, “This transaction was carefully considered and discussed. ‘Creating exciting experiences for global players’ remains Mu Tong’s unwavering mission.”
