Director Zheng Shajie Presides Over Private Enterprise Symposium
On March 20th, Zheng Shanjie, Director of the National Development and Reform Commission, presided over a symposium with private enterprises. The meeting focused on thoroughly studying and implementing the spirit of the two sessions, promoting the expansion and improvement of the service industry, and ensuring a good start and progress in the 14th Five-Year Plan. The meeting provided an opportunity for face-to-face discussions to hear opinions and suggestions from enterprises. Leaders from sectors such as financial services, warehousing and logistics, elderly care and health, human resources, and energy conservation and environmental protection attended the symposium. Zheng Shanjie stated that in the future, China’s service industry has great potential in expanding scale, optimizing structure, and fostering innovation. It is a new growth point for the economy and a “reservoir” for employment. He hopes everyone will continue to strengthen confidence in development, deepen patriotic feelings, refine and strengthen core businesses, and better support industrial upgrading, meet people’s livelihood needs, and drive employment growth. The opinions and suggestions from participating enterprises will be thoroughly studied in areas such as strengthening investment and financing services, reducing social logistics costs, supporting high-quality, diversified, and convenient development of consumer services, adapting to new employment forms, and reducing energy consumption and carbon emissions.
