New address deposits $57,500 betting that the US will invade Cuba this year
CryptoWorld News reports that, according to PolyBeats monitoring, on prediction market Polymarket, a new address has recently invested $57,500 to buy “Yes” on the question “Will the U.S. invade Cuba this year?” The large buy at market price caused the probability to spike from 23% to 85%, currently at 28%. Amid extremely tense U.S.-Cuba relations, Trump publicly stated he might soon have the “honor” of “taking over Cuba,” adding that the U.S. is “talking with Cuba,” and when discussing the sequence involving Iran and Cuba, he said, “We will deal with Iran first, then Cuba.” The U.S. has already cut off oil and financial supplies from Venezuela to Cuba, and Havana residents fear these statements are not just pressure but are creating public opinion space for possible action. After Cuba experienced a nationwide blackout again, Trump and Secretary of State Rubio almost simultaneously said that Washington hopes for “new leadership” in Cuba. Trump directly told reporters, “We will take some action against Cuba soon.” Account: 0xc80df176c03b2a6dc7f804ebd017e2fb9af0fd53.
