Eid Al Fitr 2026 Beauty Trends In Dubai: From Soft Glam To Skin-First Routines
(MENAFN- Khaleej Times)
From glow-boosting skincare to radiant makeup, festive beauty trends are shifting towards routines that prioritise skin health, especially as Dubai’s weather begins to transition
By: Somya Mehta
Come another festive occasion and we find ourselves, almost instinctively, scrolling through our Instagram feeds, saving a quick eye makeup tutorial to try or screenshotting yet another five-step skincare routine that promises that ultimate glow.
But as we approach Eid Al Fitr this year, there seems to be a noticeable shift in how beauty trends are being approached across Dubai. Instead of chasing trends in real time, people are leaning into routines that feel wearable and, most importantly, sustainable through the long, full days of celebration. Skin is no longer being covered with heavy makeup products, but being prepared and subtly enhanced for that natural glow.

To understand what’s driving this shift, we spoke to three experts across skincare, makeup and lifestyle to break down the Eid beauty trends shaping 2026.
Skin first, always
The routine begins well before makeup even enters the picture. Eid beauty this year is rooted in skincare that is designed to perform under pressure, whether that’s heat, humidity or long hours of socialising, without overwhelming the skin. The focus is on routines that are both effective and uncomplicated, allowing skin to remain balanced and breathable throughout the day.
“During Eid festivities in Dubai’s heat, the secret is a streamlined routine that does not compromise on results,” says Zahra Afshar, director of dermatology, aesthetics and longevity at Leader Healthcare.“I recommend starting with a gentle cleanser, which is lightweight yet effective, removing oil and impurities without the stripped, uncomfortable feeling that can make skin reactive during celebrations.”
Rather than layering multiple heavy products, the emphasis is on formulations that work as a multipurpose concoction.“Follow with a targeted serum like iS Clinic’s Pro-Heal Serum Advance, which combines Vitamin C, Vitamin E, and olive leaf extract to brighten the skin,” she adds.
“Finish with SPF 50+ for all-day UV defense. The beauty is that these products work together seamlessly without weighing skin down, even during long celebration days," says Afshar.
How to get the ‘Eid glow’
The glow that defines Eid beauty in 2026 is no longer just about highlighters or social media filters, it’s increasingly being driven by ingredients that work beneath the surface. There is a growing awareness of what goes into skincare and how certain actives can deliver both immediate radiance and long-term results.
Alongside the good old Vitamin C technology, newer ingredients are gaining attention for their multi-functional benefits.“Copper Tripeptide-1 is another ingredient gaining real traction," Afshar adds. “It’s a growth factor that not only provides immediate plumping effects but also supports long-term collagen health, making it perfect for looking radiant on Eid and maintaining that glow afterward.”
Soft glam, but elevated
If skincare is doing the heavy lifting, makeup this Eid is taking a more intuitive approach. There’s a clear move away from overly sculpted, high-coverage looks towards something softer, more luminous and adaptable across different settings.
“This Eid I’m seeing a strong preference for soft, radiant glam,” says Dubai-based celebrity makeup artist Sarah Saya, who’s worked with the likes of Indian cricketer Virat Kohli and actor Anushka Sharma.“Clients are leaning towards fresh, glowing skin paired with softly defined eyes and neutral tones that feel elegant and festive without being overdone.”
At the same time, the celebratory nature of Eid still leaves room for subtle drama.“Eid is also a time of celebration, so many people are adding a subtle statement element, whether it’s a slightly more defined eye, a touch of shimmer on the lids, or a richer lip colour for evening gatherings.”
Makeup that survives the day
With celebrations often stretching from morning visits to late-night gatherings, longevity has become a defining factor in how makeup is being approached.
“Longevity really comes down to skin preparation and layering techniques,” Saya explains.“I always recommend starting with well-hydrated skin, followed by a lightweight primer to create a smooth base.”
Instead of applying thick layers, the emphasis is on building gradually.“Using thin layers of products rather than heavy application helps makeup stay fresh for longer. I also suggest setting key areas like the T-zone with a fine setting powder and finishing with a setting spray to lock everything in place.”
The Eid palette
Visually, Eid beauty this year is defined by tones that feel warm, familiar and universally flattering. Rather than bold, experimental colours, the focus is on shades that enhance natural features.“I’m seeing beautiful warm tones like soft golds, bronzes, rose tones and subtle champagne shimmers that complement festive outfits perfectly,” says Saya.
These tones are particularly well-suited to the region’s diverse complexions.“Warm bronzes, terracotta hues and rich browns tend to complement Arab and South Asian skin tones beautifully, while luminous finishes help highlight the natural warmth and depth of the complexion,” she adds, noting that adapting global trends to local skin tones is key.
Preparation is key
For Dubai-based beauty and lifestyle influencer Ornina Yousef, Eid beauty begins long before the day itself.“About four days before Eid, I usually visit my clinic for the skincare treatments I normally do to make sure my skin looks fresh and glowing. I also focus on hydration, drinking electrolytes and taking extra care of my skin.”
Soft, radiant glam is definitely the mood this Eid, says Yousef.“Personally, I always lean towards a very natural look. Glowy skin, warm tones, glossy lips and elegant hair. I like using a few subtle techniques to enhance my features while still looking like myself.”
Fragrance, too, plays a key role in completing the look.“I love choosing a long-lasting fragrance, usually something slightly musky that suits the Dubai vibe and lasts beautifully throughout the day.”
Supporting homegrown beauty
Another defining shift this year is the growing influence of regional beauty brands that understand and celebrate Middle Eastern features. There is a stronger inclination towards supporting brands that feel culturally relevant while delivering globally competitive quality.
“I love supporting regional beauty brands like Huda Beauty, By Mina Al Sheikhly, and Hindash Cosmetics, they really understand our beauty style and celebrate Middle Eastern features beautifully,” says Yousef.
“I love blending the Charlotte Tilbury Airbrush Flawless Foundation with a classic lip from Huda Beauty and soft blush or eyes from Hindash Cosmetics, finishing with a beautiful fragrance like Kayali Vanilla 28 Eau de Parfum,” she adds.
Not just about appearance
Ultimately, what ties these trends together is a deeper shift in how beauty is being understood in the age of social media. It’s no longer just about appearance, but about creating a sense of ease, confidence and upliftment that lasts beyond the day itself.
“The most authentic brands during Eid position skincare as an intentional ritual of self-care and renewal of spirit,” says Afshar.“What resonates with my patients are brands that don’t overcomplicate things."
