Covering Energy, Automobiles, Biomedicine... Jiangsu Adds 6 More National-Level Platforms

The Public Service Platform for Industry Technology Infrastructure is an important support service that provides application promotion for new technologies and products, verification of key core technologies, and cultivation of new productive forces.

The seventh batch of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology’s list of Industry Technology Infrastructure Public Service Platforms has been announced. A total of 68 platforms across the country have been selected, including 6 companies from Jiangsu.

State Grid Electric Power Research Institute

It is understood that the Industry Technology Infrastructure Public Service Platform can provide technical support services such as metrology and testing, standard verification and testing, quality reliability testing, certification and accreditation, industry information, intellectual property, and technology transfer for the entire chain of technological innovation activities from R&D to industrialization in key areas of industry and information technology. The platform is characterized by outstanding performance, high credibility, close industry ties, and a demonstrative and leading role. The key industries and fields served include equipment, petrochemical, steel, non-ferrous metals, building materials, light industry, textiles, food, and more, totaling over 20 sectors.

The listed units have high credibility within the industry, broad service coverage, and strong demonstrative and driving effects. They have at least one year of experience in industry technology infrastructure services and at least three influential service cases. They collaborate closely with industry alliances, industry associations, universities, research institutes, and enterprises.

The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology is responsible for guiding and managing these service platforms, organizing annual applications for platform recognition, and this year marks the seventh batch.

This time, Jiangsu has six companies shortlisted: State Grid Electric Power Science Research Institute Co., Ltd., China Automotive Engineering Research Institute (Jiangsu) Co., Ltd., Nanjing Jiangbei New Area Biomedical Public Service Platform Co., Ltd., Jiangsu China Textile Inspection Technology Service Co., Ltd., Suzhou Biomedical Engineering Technology Research Institute of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, and Jiangsu Branch of China Machinery Industry Group. These platforms each have unique features, demonstrating strong technical service capabilities and industry demonstration effects within their respective fields, providing comprehensive, professional industry technology support services for upstream and downstream enterprises in the industry chain.

China Automotive Engineering Research Institute Jiangsu Company

Suzhou has three successful entrants: the Suzhou Institute of Biomedicine of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Jiangsu China Textile Inspection Technology Service Co., Ltd., and China Automotive Engineering Research Institute Jiangsu Company, highlighting Suzhou’s strength in industry technology infrastructure services. Taking China Automotive Engineering Research Institute Jiangsu Company as an example, as a leader in automotive inspection and testing, it has always focused on transforming scientific and technological achievements. It has gradually built a one-stop full-chain service system covering R&D, incubation, pilot testing, application, and certification.

Nanjing has two entrants. State Grid Electric Power Research Institute is a high-tech enterprise group with significant influence in China’s energy, power, and industrial control fields, and a globally recognized provider of intelligent complete equipment and integrated solutions. Currently, the platform has nine major professional laboratories, holds CMA China metrology certification, and CNAS laboratory accreditation, and is the national quality inspection center for power transmission and distribution safety control equipment.

The Nanjing Jiangbei New Area Biomedical Public Service Platform, as a national demonstration platform for small and medium-sized enterprise public services, has established a full-chain R&D service system covering biological sample exchange, multi-omics discovery, data simulation, and new drug development. It also manages the National Health and Medical Big Data (Eastern) Center and the regional technology transfer and transformation center for biomedical sciences at universities across Jiangsu and Nanjing.

A relevant official from Jiangsu Provincial Department of Industry and Information Technology stated that moving forward, local governments will focus on improving the quality and efficiency of industry technology infrastructure public services, strengthen the guiding and enabling role of platforms, optimize industry technology service supply, and promote the aggregation of innovative resources and the acceleration of industry transformation of innovative achievements.
