As tensions in the Middle East continue to escalate, American chip manufacturer Nvidia reaffirms its global strategy. CEO Jensen Huang describes Nvidia’s 100% commitment to Israel and states that the company will continue to develop locally.

The actions by the US and Israel against Iran have impacted the global supply chain. Jensen Huang, speaking at Nvidia’s annual AI event GTC in San Jose, California, expressed concern about the 6,000 employees in Israel but assured that the company’s operations there are very stable and that they plan to develop long-term in the region. He also mentioned that this applies equally to Taiwan.

Regarding Asia expansion, Huang emphasized Taiwan’s critical role in the global semiconductor supply chain, with the entire supply chain centered there. Nvidia employs thousands in Taiwan and works closely with hundreds of partners, which has a profound impact on the global economy. He highlighted that Nvidia and the global tech industry will continue to rely on Taiwan in the future.

The US is actively promoting local semiconductor manufacturing and investment. Earlier, Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick stated that during President Trump’s administration, the goal was to shift 40% of Taiwan’s semiconductor capacity to the US. Huang responded that this is very difficult, noting TSMC is establishing wafer fabs and supply chains in Arizona and other locations. He pointed out that global demand is growing rapidly; while the US is building new fabs and factories, overall global demand is also increasing significantly. Achieving the 40% target will be very challenging under these circumstances.
