Cuban leader responds to U.S. threats
Odaily Planet Daily reports that on the evening of March 17 local time, Cuban President Díaz-Canel publicly responded via social media to the threats from the U.S. government against Cuba, stating that “any foreign invader will encounter an insurmountable resistance line.” Díaz-Canel pointed out that the U.S. nearly daily threatens to overthrow Cuba’s constitutional order by force, using an excuse that is infuriating — namely, “the economic difficulties faced by Cuba,” which are caused by over 60 years of U.S. suppression and isolation. Díaz-Canel said that the U.S. is attempting to openly claim ownership of Cuba and its resources, assets, and even the economy they are trying to suffocate to force Cuba to submit. Only then can this explain the brutal economic warfare that is a collective punishment against all Cubans. Díaz-Canel emphasized that in the face of the most severe situation, Cuba firmly believes that any foreign invader will encounter an insurmountable resistance line. Cuba remains steadfast.
