Mars Finance reports that Layer 1 blockchain Injective has announced support for native USDC issuance and integration of Circle’s cross-chain transfer protocol (CCTP), enabling direct transfer of USDC between supported blockchains. This integration will allow USDC to be issued natively on Injective rather than through bridged versions, enabling users to transfer USDC between Injective and other networks without relying on wrapped assets or third-party bridges. CCTP reduces bridging risks by destroying USDC on the source chain and minting an equivalent amount on the target chain.
