Gloria Trevi and her husband support Poncho de Nigris following statement about threats

Solidarity arises when suffering is shared. Armando Gómez, husband of Gloria Trevi, found echoes of his own pain in Poncho de Nigris’s statement. Recently, the former member of La Casa de los Famosos Mexico publicly revealed that his family was facing threats, and Gloria Trevi and her husband immediately recognized the danger described, as they experienced it firsthand over a decade ago.

The trauma Armando Gómez cannot forget

Fourteen years ago, Armando Gómez was a victim of a kidnapping orchestrated by Juanita Sánchez Quintanilla, aka ‘La Tía,’ who is Poncho de Nigris’s ex-mother-in-law. That event profoundly affected Gloria Trevi and her husband, leaving scars that remain open to this day. What makes the current situation more concerning is that on January 30, 2026, ‘La Tía’ was released from the Social Reintegration Center of the State of Morelos, which heightened alarms regarding the safety of those affected in the past.

In his public response to Poncho de Nigris, Armando Gómez was direct: “I understand perfectly what you mean, and it is unfortunate that people who caused so much harm are free.” Gloria Trevi and her husband know the destructive capacity of this person and her circle. “I know what she and her family are capable of, as I lived it myself: my kidnapping orchestrated by her and her daughter,” he affirmed. He also pointed out Lucy Garza, Poncho de Nigris’s ex-partner, as part of that network that once gained his trust and then betrayed it.

Poncho de Nigris seeks immediate legal protection

Alfonso de Nigris shared on his Instagram profile a statement requesting formal protective measures for himself and his family. Although he did not specify the nature of the threats received, he was clear about their origin: they are “stemming from recent events related to the release of a person on January 30, 2026, from the Social Reintegration Center of the State of Morelos.”

“My life and my family’s have been marked for years,” explained the businessman, owner of Postrería 77, referring to the impact that a high-profile criminal process had on his life. The statement also reveals a serious personal consequence: “I was unable to fully exercise my fatherhood and support for a daughter I had many years ago.”

With the risk reactivated after the release, Poncho de Nigris and his legal team are gathering evidence and documentation. “The relevant authorities will be presented with or will expand the complaints for threats,” he stated in his public declaration, emphasizing that his only purpose is to ensure the safety of his family unit.

The support expressed by Gloria Trevi and her husband toward Poncho de Nigris reflects an uncomfortable truth: threats from individuals released from the penal system can reactivate traumas and dangers that many believed were overcome. The demand for protection is not an act of paranoia but a necessary measure based on documented experiences.
