Unitree Robotics founder Wang Xingxing: This year, robots are expected to run faster than humans, even faster than Usain Bolt.
On March 17, the Yabuli Forum was held. During his speech, Wang Xingxing, founder of Yushu Technology and a new board member of the forum, mentioned that although robots currently cannot outrun humans in 100-meter races, it is expected that by the middle of this year, robots worldwide, especially in China, will run faster than humans—“faster than Bolt.”
Yushu Technology’s Wang Xingxing: The “ChatGPT Moment” for Embodied Intelligence May Still Be 2 to 3 Years Away
On March 17, the “2026 Yabuli China Entrepreneurs Forum Annual Conference” opened in Yabuli, Heilongjiang. Wang Xingxing, founder and CEO of Yushu Technology and a new board member of the forum, delivered the opening speech. He defined the “ChatGPT moment” for embodied intelligence as when, in 80% of unfamiliar scenarios, robots can successfully complete about 80% of tasks through voice or text commands. He stated that we are still a bit away from the “ChatGPT moment” for embodied intelligence—“probably at least 2 to 3 years away—but it could also happen very quickly.”
Wang Xingxing said that Yushu adheres to the logic of “simultaneous movement and work,” because mobility is the prerequisite for all robots to perform real tasks. When humanoid robots have sufficiently rich mobility to perform various actions, simply combining these actions can essentially enable the robots to work.
