Goldman Sachs expects Brent oil prices to average over $100 a barrel in March, driven by volatility related to the Iran war and disruptions in the Middle East energy infrastructure and Strait of Hormuz. The bank also raised its Q4 2026 Brent and WTI crude oil price forecasts, noting that prolonged disruptions could lead to even higher oil prices. Despite the immediate surge, Goldman anticipates Brent crude gradually easing to the low $70s later in the year under more stable conditions.
