With a net worth of $839 billion (approximately HKD 6.54 trillion), the world’s richest man Elon Musk’s residence has been revealed. His home in Boca Chica, Texas, is not extravagantly luxurious but minimalist.

According to foreign media outlet Newsweek, they showcased Musk’s residence near the SpaceX Starbase and posted photos of the interior. From the pictures, the house has no luxury decorations, only basic furnishings—just a few chairs and a table, with a rocket model and a samurai sword on the coffee table. Later, Musk’s mother, Maye Musk, reposted the photos on her social platform X, saying, “There’s no food in the fridge. The sleeping spot is the garage on the right, and there’s only a towel in the bathroom. I left it for Elon.”

Maye also wrote, “I don’t mind. When I was a child, I spent three weeks in the Kalahari Desert without taking a shower. Many times, it was like that—there was no water. I think my parents made me used to this kind of ‘luxurious’ life.”

Musk’s living environment in Boca Chica has long been a topic of discussion. Walter Isaacson, a renowned American author who wrote Musk’s biography, previously shared this photo, which sparked online debate. As early as 2020, Musk posted on X that he was “selling almost all physical possessions.” According to reports, his Boca Chica residence is valued at about $50,000 (around HKD 390,000). The modular home, approximately 375 square feet, features an open kitchen, living room, separate wet and dry bathroom, bathtub, and bedroom.
