On March 16, AI computing power surged, with the Integrated Circuit ETF (159546) closing up 2.6%.
Datong Securities pointed out that the AI wave has driven a surge in computing power demand, with high-bandwidth memory (HBM) demand skyrocketing. The value of sectors such as servers, AI chips, optical chips, storage, and PCB boards will significantly increase. The storage chip industry is entering a new cycle of prosperity, with DRAM prices since June 2025 showing a strong upward trend, directly reflecting the robust demand for high-performance memory from AI servers. China’s semiconductor industry is accelerating domestic substitution.
The Integrated Circuit ETF (159546) tracks the IC Index (932087), which mainly covers companies engaged in IC design, manufacturing, packaging, testing, and related materials and equipment. The constituent stocks have high technological content and R&D investment, reflecting the development level and technological progress of China’s IC industry.
