Saudi Arabia Leads Regional Response to Iranian Regime Attacks
Tensions in the Middle East escalate after a new military offensive. Saudi Arabia has firmly rejected the attacks carried out by Iran, a stance that aligns completely with the U.S. position expressed by President Donald Trump in direct communications with Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz.
The strategic alignment of Washington and Saudi Arabia
Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs confirmed that Trump communicated U.S. support for the Iranian offensive. According to the official statement, the U.S. president emphasized that Washington not only condemns the missile attacks launched by Iran against the Kingdom but also fully supports the defensive and offensive measures Saudi Arabia considers necessary to protect its territory.
Saudi air defenses successfully countered the offensive, according to security reports. Trump stressed that these attacks pose a direct threat not only to Saudi Arabia but to the overall stability and security of the Gulf region. This position reinforces the long-term strategic commitment between Washington and the Gulf Arab allies.
High-level diplomatic mobilization in response to regional tensions
Following coordinated attacks between the United States and Israel against Iran, Trump intensified diplomatic contacts with key Gulf leaders. White House spokesperson Karoline Leavitt reported that the president held direct conversations with top representatives of Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and the United Arab Emirates.
These discussions also included NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte, in a context where regional security has become a strategic priority for the West. The three Arab states mentioned host crucial U.S. military infrastructure and have seen their security indirectly compromised by the escalation of hostilities in the region.
Saudi Arabia’s official stance: rejection of sovereignty violations
The statement issued by Saudi Arabia goes beyond simple condemnation. The Saudi government strongly rejected what it describes as “serious attacks and blatant violations” of the sovereignty of multiple Gulf nations. According to the official declaration, Iranian aggression has affected the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Qatar, Kuwait, Jordan, and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia itself.
Saudi Arabia expressed explicit solidarity with all affected states and demanded a clear condemnation from the international community. The statement highlights that these actions constitute a direct challenge to the principles of international law and calls for urgent and decisive measures to contain the escalation.
Defense of the international order and regional stability
The Saudi government emphasized the importance of respecting national sovereignty and rejected any interference that jeopardizes the collective security of Gulf countries. Saudi Arabia expressed its willingness to cooperate with international actors in protecting the region.
Saudi authorities warn that Iran’s recent actions pose a direct threat not only to local peace but also to broader geopolitical balances. This stance positions Saudi Arabia as a key actor in coordinating the regional response, working closely with Washington to ensure respect for international agreements and to protect shared security interests in the Middle East.
