Southern Power Grid Yunnan Lijiang Power Supply Bureau—

Striving for a “Good Start” with Achievements Benefiting the People

Since 2026, Southern Power Grid Yunnan Lijiang Power Supply Bureau has focused on high-quality development as its primary task, emphasizing power supply security and grid upgrades as core projects benefiting people’s livelihoods. Building on the solid foundation of exceeding the annual urban and rural power grid targets in 2025, it has seized the momentum to push for a strong start in the first quarter, injecting strong momentum into improving residents’ well-being and rural revitalization across the city.

In the past year, Lijiang Power Supply Bureau prioritized improving power supply reliability and capacity as key indicators, delivering impressive results. In 2025, the bureau invested 345 million yuan in 10kV distribution network fixed assets, commissioning 314 urban and rural grid projects, exceeding the annual target by 60 projects.

The grid structure was optimized historically, with 175.96 km of new and renovated 10kV rural lines and 75.61 km of low-voltage lines; in the urban area, 27.31 km of 10kV lines and 10.68 km of low-voltage lines were added. With the completion and operation of the expansion projects at Daju and Mingyin 35kV substations in Yulong County, the power supply bottleneck for industrial development in the eastern district was thoroughly broken. Additionally, high-standard renovation of 44,330 low-voltage metering households significantly improved the city’s “two rates and one household” indicators, with power supply reliability rising to 99.93% and voltage compliance rate to 99.827%, truly transitioning from just using electricity to using it efficiently.

As the front line serving cultural tourism, Yulong Power Supply Bureau in Lijiang has brought practical benefits directly to the people. Vice General Manager Shen Libing of Southern Power Grid Yunnan Lijiang Yulong Power Supply Bureau introduced that in 2025, Yulong Power Supply Bureau focused on core scenic spots such as Baisha and Shuhe and surrounding residents’ power needs, completing nine batches of distribution network projects with a total investment of 88.62 million yuan. Four new 10kV lines and 55 new distribution transformers were added. After commissioning, the scenic area’s power outage rate significantly decreased, effectively solving issues of low voltage and overloads for local residents and guesthouses, and providing a stable power supply foundation for tourism development, especially to meet the peak travel period during the 2026 Spring Festival.

To ensure agricultural power use, Yongsheng Power Supply Bureau in Lijiang precisely targeted agricultural electricity needs, making every effort on distribution network infrastructure projects. Since December 2025, a total investment of 10.39 million yuan has been made, completing 25 distribution network projects, adding 27 transformers with a capacity of 10,800 kVA, and constructing 5.52 km of 10kV lines and 7.06 km of 0.4kV lines, effectively solving power supply issues for 1,686 households in Taoyuan, Pianjiao, and other areas. Notably, the new 10kV Jiahua line and Jiahe substation project in Jiahua Village effectively addressed water citrus irrigation power needs, providing strong electrical support for agriculture and residents’ livelihoods.

“2026 marks the beginning of the ‘14th Five-Year Plan.’ We will continue to optimize the distribution network layout, not only improving urban and rural power supply capacity through investment and construction but also vigorously promoting digital grid and new power system development,” said Luo Mingya, Deputy Manager of the Grid Planning and Construction Department of Lijiang Power Supply Bureau.

Since the beginning of this year, two key projects with a total investment of 90.44 million yuan will officially commence: the Beibu Grid Improvement Project in Ninglang Yi Autonomous County and the Second Power Supply Project of Yulong Mountain 35kV. Both projects have obtained all administrative approvals, and procurement, construction, and supervision tenders have been finalized, marking the successful completion of preliminary work and entering the construction preparation stage.

Lijiang Power Supply Bureau will leverage these breakthroughs to focus on the first quarter 2026 goals, actively promote the resumption of ongoing projects and the preliminary work for new projects, continuously address urgent power needs of the people, and aim for a strong start in the first quarter to ensure a successful year, empowering high-quality development of Lijiang’s cultural tourism industry and rural revitalization.
