Abstract generation in progress

Caixin News March 16 — Caixin has confirmed from sources close to ByteDance that the company has decided to temporarily halt the global release of its AI video generation model Seedance 2.0. Since its release, issues regarding the copyright use of Seedance 2.0 have attracted the attention of Hollywood industry associations, multiple film and television companies, and even the Japanese government.

As of press time, ByteDance has not responded to this matter.

ByteDance’s Seedance 2.0 officially launched on February 12. Prior to this, the test version sparked widespread discussion within the domestic and international tech communities. The generated realistic human images can automatically match voices, and it is groundbreaking in its awareness of camera movement. The material usability is high, with the potential to significantly shorten professional-grade film and television production processes.
