The 315 Evening Gala exposed bleached chicken feet. After investigation and evidence collection, in early March, reporters from the 315 Gala handed over the investigation materials to the State Administration for Market Regulation. The administration immediately organized multiple departments to analyze the clues. Targeting the involved merchants and companies that violated regulations, recent efforts have mobilized law enforcement across several regions to conduct a comprehensive crackdown on this illegal food processing black industry chain. Raids were carried out on ShuFuxiang, MingYang Food, ZengQiao Food, and related upstream enterprises.

Law enforcement first investigated ShuFuxiang. At its Workshop No. 3, officials from the State Administration for Market Regulation seized 27 barrels of hydrogen peroxide food additive, two of which had been opened. Multiple barrels of soaking chicken feet were found in Workshops No. 4 and 5. The officials took comprehensive samples of hydrogen peroxide, soaking water, semi-finished, and finished products. On-site inspection revealed 232 boxes of Sichuan pepper chicken feet and 319 boxes of aromatic marinated chicken feet were sealed due to quality issues.

At the scene, company personnel admitted that since May 2025, they have been purchasing hydrogen peroxide from Jinshan Pharmaceutical for chicken foot processing and equipment disinfection, with a total of 5,242 barrels bought. Meanwhile, MingYang Food was under investigation for severely violating food safety laws due to poor production environment. Jinshan Pharmaceutical and Yifeng Electronic New Materials were also investigated for illegally providing unlabeled food additives and violating hazardous chemical management regulations.

At the same time, another law enforcement team from the State Administration for Market Regulation conducted a surprise inspection of ZengQiao Food. They found four unopened barrels of hydrogen peroxide and one opened barrel, which was sealed on the spot, in the boiler room on the third floor. Multiple barrels of soaking chicken feet and chicken leg bones were found in the production workshop, with liquids bubbling inside the barrels. Surveillance footage showed staff repeatedly transporting hydrogen peroxide within the factory. Sampling confirmed that hydrogen peroxide was present in the soaking water, semi-finished, and finished products. (CCTV Finance)
