The Israel Defense Forces deny claims that their air defense interceptors are “se severely lacking” and that stockpiles are running low. An officer stated that the IDF had planned military operations against Iran several months in advance. The IDF prepared enough air defense interceptors and is ready for a “long-term war” with Iran that could last for weeks. Currently, the number of interceptors actually used in operations is “less than expected.” Previous Israeli statistics show that after the conflict broke out on February 28, Iran launched approximately 300 ballistic missiles at Israel over about two weeks, fewer than the 500 missiles launched during the “12 Days of War” in June 2025.
