【AI Agent】Alibaba Establishes Alibaba Token Hub Business Group
Alibaba (09988)
Announces the official establishment of the Alibaba Token Hub (ATH) business group, creating a new organization focused on “creating tokens, transporting tokens, and applying tokens,” directly overseen by Alibaba CEO Daniel Zhang. Alibaba (U.S.: BABA) pre-market shares jump 3%, trading at $139.3.
It is understood that this will be a significant organizational adjustment for Alibaba in the AI Agent era, with the Token Hub as the core focus, strengthening AI business strategic collaboration, and fully advancing Alibaba’s AI strategy implementation.
The Alibaba Token Hub includes the Tongyi Laboratory, MaaS Business Line, Qianwen Business Department, Wukong Business Department, and AI Innovation Business Department, covering the full spectrum from foundational model development and model service platforms to AI applications for individuals and enterprises.
Among them, the Wukong Business Department appears in the public eye for the first time, positioned as “an AI-native work platform for B-end, deeply integrating model capabilities into enterprise workflows.” This means that, in addition to the C-end AI application Qianwen App, Alibaba will also focus on the B-end AI application market.
Previously, NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang repeatedly emphasized the importance of tokens. He mentioned that from an industry perspective, AI can be analyzed as a five-layer stacked architecture, with the bottom layer being energy. Real-time intelligent generation requires real-time power. Every generated token is the result of electronic flow, heat energy management, and the conversion of energy into computational power. There is no abstract layer beneath this.
