On the evening of March 14 local time, Iranian Foreign Minister Amir-Abdollahian spoke by phone with French Foreign Minister Catherine Colonna. The two exchanged views on the current U.S.-Israel military actions against Iran and regional developments. Amir-Abdollahian pointed out that provocations by the United States and Israel are the fundamental causes of instability in the region and the Strait of Hormuz, and strongly condemned aggressive attacks on Iranian military facilities. He emphasized that Iran’s defensive actions are solely targeted at aggressors’ military objectives and not against regional countries. Additionally, Amir-Abdollahian stated that the overall regional turmoil, including the situation in Lebanon, is rooted in Israel’s hegemonic expansion. He called on the international community to adopt a responsible attitude to prevent further escalation of the conflict. (CCTV News)
