Türkiye's BIST 100 Slips as Weekly Trading Concludes

(MENAFN) Türkiye’s primary stock gauge closed the week on Friday at 13,092.93 points, marking a 1.45% decrease day-on-day.

Commencing the session at 13,253.33 points, Borsa Istanbul’s BIST 100 index fell 193.19 points from Thursday’s final level.

The index touched a minimum of 12,944.68 points, while the peak for the day reached 13,259.08.

The total market capitalization of the BIST 100 hovered around 12.8 trillion Turkish liras ($290.6 billion), with trading activity amounting to 145 billion liras ($3.29 billion).

Among the index constituents, 26 equities gained ground, whereas 73 declined compared with the prior close.

Gold was priced at $5,030.35 per ounce, and Brent crude futures traded at $99.2 per barrel as of 7 pm local time (1600GMT).

The US dollar/Turkish lira pair stood at 44.1895, the euro/Turkish lira at 50.6600, and the British pound exchanged at 58.5750.
