Doha, Qatar: Through its National Emergency Alert, social media posts and video messages, the Ministry of Interior (MoI) has frequently alerted citizens, residents and visitors on the importance of staying indoors or in a safe location when they hear sounds of interceptions.

In a latest post on its social media, the Ministry issued public safety guidance advising people on where to take shelter in the event of hearing an explosion or receiving an alert.

In its advisory the ministry highlighted areas near external walls, and spots close to glass windows, rooftops and open areas as unsafe options as they pose a significant risk.

Basements, interior rooms, hallways or corridors as well as spaces under staircases are considered as safe locations to seek shelter.
