Abstract generation in progress

IT House March 8 News, this week, Apple announced new MacBook Pro models equipped with the newly launched M5Pro and M5Max chips. The new MacBooks are now available for pre-order and will be officially released on March 11. However, the latest news suggests that Apple is also expected to launch a more significant MacBook Pro update in 2026.

After the official release of the M5Pro/Max MacBook Pro last week, Mark Gurman revealed today in Bloomberg’s Power On newsletter: “High-end MacBooks with touch screens and OLED displays are expected to be launched around the end of this year.”

According to IT House, this model will become the first in the Mac series to feature a touch screen or OLED display. Currently, these two hardware features are only found in the iPad Pro and have not been applied to Mac products.

Rumors suggest that this major update to the MacBook Pro will also include the M6Pro/Max chips. The recently released M5Pro/Max chips are essentially just routine upgrades to the MacBook Pro configuration.

However, this is not the first time Apple has launched two generations of new M-series chips for the MacBook Pro within a year. This time, the update pace may be more rapid than the last.
